Setting Up AstroWarp with GL.iNet Routers: Work From Home

This document will guide you on how to use AstroWarp's internet exit feature, allowing you to remotely work from anywhere using your company's IP address, just as if you were at your office workstation.

Creating the Network

Step 1: Select a plan to create a network. The minimum required plan is the Plus Plan.

Step 2: Set a network name of your choice, such as Work_From_Home.

Step 3: Add your company's router to the network and complete the payment.

Step 4:

  • Click the "+" button to add your home router to the network and configure access permissions by dragging and connecting it to the company router.
  • Alternatively, download the AstroWarp app on your client device (e.g., computer or tablet) to directly join the network.

Step 5: Change the internet exit to the company router. Then configure your home router and client devices to use the internet exit. This allows you to remotely access services like NAS or GitLab at home using the company router's IP address.

Add Accessible Resources

Click on the router's Details or hover over it on the topology map to add accessible resources.

If the resource you want to access is not listed in the auto-discovery list, manual addition is supported.

You can now access the company network and its services at any time, with your device's internet IP address appearing as the company's router IP address.
